How to distinguish between CG Air™ and Airbrass™ mini air bath caps |

You must determine whether your bath has the Airbrass™ model, or the CG Air™, as they are very
similar. Both caps measure approximately ½ inch; however, the CG Air™ body has a raised ridge around
it, and the air cap snaps down INTO THE RAISED OPENING, whereas the Airbrass™ cap snaps down ONTO
THE TOP EDGE OF THE METAL BODY. Click on the picture to the left to see the difference (note that Airbrass™ caps may have 4 or 6 pins underneath, but the CG Air™ always have 6 pins). Caps may be difficult to push in - you may have to use a small piece of wood to push them in. Be very careful when removing a cap, to use a strong knife blade that is not too sharp, and go gently, as it could damage the metal finish. Note that there is a small stainless steel ball inside the jet body. This helps prevent water from entering the piping. If the ball is jammed with soap or minerals and no air comes out, with the cap off and the blower on, it can be freed by using a tiny screwdriver or other tool. Some models may have a ball and spring, or a small check valve - the ball is recommended for jets on the floor of the bath, and the spring or check valve for jets on the wall of the bath. |
